Two women wanted in connection to a break-in last month at a residence in the 5900 block of Blackjack Road have been arrested.
HALL CO. SHERIFF’S OFFICE NARRATIVE:
“On June 20, Hall County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) deputies took arrest warrants for burglary and child cruelty on Teresa Benites, 23, (pictured) and Shanna Brooke Malcolm, 23, both of Gainesville, after the women entered the residence of the victim without permission in an apparent effort to steal jewelry. The adult victim and three children under the age of 18 were present at the time. The suspects left the scene without stealing any items.
Benites was arrested by the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office on unrelated charges and returned to the custody of Hall County on warrants for burglary, cruelty to children in the third degree (three counts) and probation violation. She remains in the Hall County Jail with no bond.
Malcolm was arrested in Gwinnett County and remains in the custody of that jurisdiction at last check.”
