Early voting ends Fri. for runoffs; Identity fraud arrest; New CEO at HSNEGA

*A 19-year-old Gainesville man is being held on $19,500 bond following his arrest Wednesday on a single felony charge of aggravated identity fraud. Roni Pablo-Gomez allegedly used another person’s ID information in order to obtain employment. The Hall County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) says he presented that information while applying for a job at Gold Creek Foods in Gainesville May 31.

*Allison Mayfield has left her job as CEO at the Gainesville-based Humane Society of Northeast Georgia (HSNEGA). Mayfield has been replaced on an interim basis by Juan Cueto, the organization’s Vice President of Marketing and Development who was hired in early April.
