A Clarkesville man was killed and one from Toccoa was seriously injured in that Friday afternoon wreck on Georgia Highway 115 in Habersham County that closed the road at Half Moon Court for about four hours.
The state patrol said Saturday the accident happened when the pickup they were in left the road and traveled off the highway, striking a ditch.
Killed was a passenger in the truck, Larry Hart, 73, Toccoa. He died on the scene after he was thrown from the vehicle. The driver, Jerry Neal, 78, Clarkesville was seriously injured and taken to Northeast Georgia Medical Center-Gainesville.
No charges have been issued at this time.
