Already thinking about a warm weather getaway involving a beach but want to stay close to home?
Well, onlyinyourstate.com has come out with what it describes as “five lakeside beaches in Georgia that’ll make you feel like you’re at the ocean.” And three of them are in our area – two on Lake Lanier.
At the top of the list is Paradise Beach at Margaritaville (pictured) at Lake Lanier Islands and third is the beach at Don Carter State Park, also on Lanier. Fourth is Ft. Yargo State Park in Barrow County.
