Gainesville Police recently used an “electronic detection canine” to enhance a child pornography case.
GAINESVILLE POLICE DEPARTMENT (GPD) FACEBOOK POST:
“Danny White, 66, of Gainesville…has been charged with an additional 29 felony charges related to child pornography.
When investigators served a search warrant on the residence of White, they had K9 Max, an electronic detection canine of the Murray County Sheriff’s Office at their side.
K9 Max was able to locate a cellphone hidden in the residence, which led to an additional 29 charges.
Not only are dogs a child’s best friend, but a savior and hero in the case of Max. Special thanks go out to Deputy Flood and Max for their great partnership.
White is currently being held in the Hall County Jail. The case is open and active, additional charges could be possible.”
