A 73-year-old woman remained in the Hall County Jail late Friday afternoon following her arrest Thursday on charges of stealing packages valued at more than $5,000 from an apartment complex mailroom on Findley Drive in Flowery Branch. A juvenile was an alleged accomplice.
Flowery Branch Police officers began their investigation earlier in the week after learning of the thefts and it was surveillance video that led them to identify Patricia Wise of Flowery Branch as a suspect. Investigators also determined that Wise was accompanied by a teenage boy, who turned out to be 16, during the theft.
Based on the evidence they obtained, investigators got arrest warrants for Wise. She has been charged with Theft by Taking and Contributing to the Delinquency of a Minor.
Wise was arrested without incident at her home.
Her bond has been set at $3,150.
