UPDATED 1:00 P.M. THURSDAY:
The state patrol says the driver of a Barrow County school bus that wrecked Wednesday, sending six students to a hospital, is not sure why the vehicle left the pavement and overturned on its right side. But she said she thought she may have been checking her mirrors at the time.
The students who were taken to the hospital suffered minor injuries, according to school officials.
Driver Nancy Peek, 64, of Winder who was not injured was cited for Failure to Maintain Lane.

Six students were taken to a hospital Wednesday and later released when a school bus crashed in Barrow County.
School system officials said the bus went off Highway 211 near Raymond Drive and came to rest on its side. Thirty‑four students were on board at the time.
The state patrol is investigating.
