A new distribution center is coming to Jackson County, bringing with it 140 new jobs.

Parts Town Unlimited has signed a lease for a 538,450-square-foot facility in Pendergrass. The company plans to move into the facility by the end of the year.

It will be the company’s largest global fulfillment center.

Parts Town distributes genuine manufacturer parts for commercial foodservice equipment, residential appliances and HVAC systems. The company says the new center will allow it to get those parts to 93% of the U.S. within two days.

Local customers will also have the option for same-day delivery or pickup, with the company saying some parts could reach customers in as little as two hours.

“Our new Global Fulfillment Center represents an important next step in the evolution of our North American distribution network and positions us to serve our customers and manufacturer partners with even greater speed, flexibility and scale,” said Bill Geary, Chief Accelerator aka CEO, Parts Town Unlimited.

The warehouse will be built around automation, including robotic conveyance and planned AI-powered robotics. Automation will also be used in areas including packing, shipping and receiving.

The Pendergrass facility is part of Parts Town’s expansion of its distribution network, which currently includes global fulfillment centers in Chicago, Phoenix and Munich.

Geary said the new location will put more parts closer to customers in the Southeast while reducing shipping times and costs.
