Gainesville Police have opened investigations into recent reports of a house burglary on the city’s east side and a road rage incident on the other side of town.
The burglary was reported Monday and occurred between 10:30 Sunday night and 12:30 Monday morning at an apartment on Norton Drive.
“Over $3,000 worth of electronics, jewelry, and cash were missing,” Lt. Jessica Van wrote in an email. “Surveillance footage showed two males dressed in black…(entered through a) shattered bedroom window. It’s unclear how the window was shattered.”
The road rage incident reportedly occurred at a Dawsonville Highway intersection.
“The caller alleged that he and another driver got into a verbal argument while at the intersection of Dawsonville Hwy and Green Hill Cir.,” Lt. Van wrote. “Shortly after, the caller said the other party brandished a firearm.”
