Three people were injured in a three-vehicle accident Sunday on Cleveland Highway.
GEORGIA STATE PATROL NARRATIVE:
“On Jan 28, a Chevrolet truck was traveling northbound on SR 11 just north of Jess Helton Rd. The preliminary investigation (revealed) the driver was reaching for a drink and had failed to maintain his lane driving towards oncoming traffic.
A Honda was traveling southbound and attempted to avoid a crash by swerving left. The Honda and Chevrolet struck head on along the center line. The Honda came to a rest in the northbound lane. The Chevrolet overturned with its rear driver’s side striking a Ford truck that was also traveling southbound on SR 11.
The drivers of the Chevrolet and Honda were transported to (Northeast Georgia Medical Center) Gainesville.
The driver of the Chevrolet had minor visible injuries. The driver of the Honda sustained a broken leg and wrist. The driver and passenger of the Ford were not transported but had a complaint of injury.”
