3 charged with posting nude pictures of Commerce councilwoman on social media; victim, herself, facing drug charges

Three people are free on bond after their arrests for allegedly sharing nude pictures of a Commerce City councilwoman who was, herself, arrested recently on drug charges.

The AJC reports that Frank Lee Sewell, Caquea Sewell Evans and Aisha Genise Pelze were arrested after a video including a nude picture of Roshuanda Merritt was posted on social media last month.

Sewell is charged with posting the images and Evans and Pelzer were charged with being a party to the crime for helping with “the publishing of nude photos of Merritt against her wishes for the purpose of harassment,” according to their arrest warrants.

In 2005, he was presented with the Georgia Associated Press Broadcasters Association’s President’s Award for Excellence in Journalism and in 2019 was inducted into the Georgia Radio Hall of Fame.

He lives in Gainesville with his wife of 52 years, the former Sandra McKnight of Clio, Alabama, and they have one child, a daughter, Lisa, who lives in Cumming with her family.
