GBI NEWS RELEASE:
“The White County Sheriff’s Office, Habersham County Sheriff’s Office, and Appalachian Regional Drug Enforcement Office conducted a multi-day operation in December 2023 that led to the arrest of three people:
- Cody Lee Fendley, age 38, of Cleveland, GA, was arrested and charged with trafficking methamphetamine and possession of fentanyl with the intent to distribute. Fendley was also wanted from a previous incident for aggravated assault, terroristic threats, and criminal trespass.
- Ronald Bafile, age 42, of Cleveland, GA, was arrested and charged with trafficking methamphetamine, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, possession of Marijuana with the intent to distribute, possession of a Schedule IV controlled substance, and fleeing and attempting to elude.
- Megan Bafile, age 31, of Dahlonega, GA, was arrested and charged with trafficking methamphetamine, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, possession of Marijuana with the intent to distribute, possession of a Schedule IV controlled substance, and obstruction of law enforcement.
During the operation, law enforcement seized more than a pound of suspected methamphetamine, as well as suspected fentanyl and marijuana throughout White and Habersham counties.
