2nd grader’s business benefits others

A second grader at Hall County’s World Language Academy Elementary School, Ava Hernandez, started her own business over the Christmas break last year – and its returns are benefiting her classmates. It’s called Miss Book Buddies.

It’s a project for Read Across America. Ava reached out to sponsors and donors and raised enough money to buy all of her classmates in the second grade a Dr. Seuss book. Recently, he went around and delivered the books.

Her beaming Principal, Bev Moody, said,” We are super proud of Ava’s efforts to bring literacy to our school!”
