An 18‑year‑old motorcyclist lost his life in a crash on Peachtree Parkway in Forsyth County Wednesday.
A spokeswoman for the sheriff’s office says Caleb Johnson of Cumming died at the scene after his motorcycle struck the passenger side of an SUV.
The driver of the SUV told investigators he had been stopped, waiting to turn left into a shopping center, Stacie Miller said. But as he began to turn, the motorcycle collided with his vehicle.
Miller quoted witnesses as saying the motorcycle had accelerated and passed between two vehicles while traveling northbound just before the crash.
