The whereabouts of a 17-year-old Hall County boy, declared a runaway juvenile in a lookout posted by the sheriff’s office April 18, remained a mystery Monday morning.
Asked if there was any new information on the case, such as any reported sightings, leads on where he might be, circumstances under which he left, etc., sheriff’s office spokesman Derrick Booth replied “There are no updates.”
Jayden Kriens was last seen walking on Dawsonville Highway near Lake Ranch Court at around 7:15. He was wearing a white t-shirt, blue shorts, and black sandals with socks.
History shows that such cases locally are usually resolved with the safe return of the missing individual within hours or at most one or two days.
The lone recent exception of late being that of the 12-year-old girl who was missing for several weeks two years ago before being found in Ohio in the company of man she had met online. Man who took Maria Gomez-Lopez to Ohio pleads guilty to Ohio charges
