*An official with the Hall County Planning Commission (HCPC) confirms that plans for a large subdivision on Yellow Creek Road that is being strongly opposed by many residents in that area was tabled at Monday’s commission meeting. It was done so at the applicant’s request and the matter is now scheduled to be heard by the planning group at its May 19 meeting. Subject to a recommendation by the HCPC, it will then go to the county commission for final approval or rejection.
*The test of Hall County’s weather siren network, scheduled for 9:00 Wednesday morning, was postponed because of the cloudy, rainy weather. It is now set for next Wednesday. The tests are always postponed under such conditions which are associated with tornadic activity.
