On this week’s edition of Friday Night Football in North Georgia, Team Glory Sports heads to the Hot Gates at Spartan field to bring you a non-region match up, as the Franklin County Lions take on the West Hall Spartans.
Both teams enter the game at 3-1; neither of which have begun region play. The Spartans come in with three straight wins after defeating Johnson 73-0 two weeks ago, with running back Elijah Hayes rushing for a total of 205 yards. The team’s one loss comes after being defeated by the Seckinger Jaguars in the first game of the regular season.
Franklin County comes into this match up with three straight wins as well, after defeating West Oak 49-17 last Friday.
Momentum in the right place, but tough opponents ahead.
Mike Wofford interviewed coach Krofton Montgomery of West Hall and asked him about the team’s momentum. “We’re in a good place mentally and physically. . . but we know that our toughest opponents are ahead of us. . .” he stated. “. . .We’ve got to keep improving and just keep doing the things that we’ve been doing well. . .”
Both West Hall and Franklin County begin region play next week. The Spartans will take on Jefferson in region 8-AAA play, while the Lions will take on Stephens County in region 8-AA.
