We now know more about that 700-home residential-industrial development in South Hall that we told you about a week ago. EARLIER STORY. POSTED MAY 15: Chestnut Mtn. area: 700-home development planned. The new information comes from a filing by Hall County with the Georgia Department of Community Affairs (DCA).
“The intent is to develop apartments (Maximum amount of units: 320) and a mixture of Stacked Flats and townhomes (Maximum amount of units: 380),” the filing says.
Fall 2028 is the anticipated build-out date.
The state requires such a filing “to provide basic project information that will allow the RDC (Regional Development Commission) to determine if the project appears to meet or exceed applicable DRI (Development of Regional Impact) thresholds.
The proposed location is 5401 Old Winder Highway in the Chestnut Mountain area.
