Two people were arrested recently in White County on charges of trafficking in methamphetamine after two pounds of the drug were seized during a traffic stop.
WHITE CO. SHERIFF’S OFFICE NEWS RELEASE:
“On Thursday, May 2, 2024, White County Sheriff’s Office Deputies conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle that was occupied by Matthew Young (41) of Lawrenceville, GA and a Heather Rutledge (48) of Cumming, GA.
A K9 was utilized on the vehicle and the K9 had a positive alert to the presence of narcotics in the vehicle. During a subsequent search of the vehicle (two pounds) of suspected methamphetamine was located in the vehicle.
Matthew Young was charged with trafficking in methamphetamine. Heather Rutledge was charged with trafficking in methamphetamine and Rutledge was also wanted for an outstanding felony parole violation warrant.”
