And a section of Blue Ridge Drive is scheduled to be closed all week also starting Monday. EARLIER STORY. POSTED MAY 13: A section of Gainesville’s Valley Road will be closed for several days starting next Monday for water main improvements. The affected part of the road is between Blue Ridge Drive and Crepe Myrtle Lane. Plans call for it to reopen by the end of the week.
