While Gainesville is in the midst of a well-publicized upgrade of the elevators in the downtown parking deck, Hall County is quietly doing the same thing to the county -maintained “lifts” downtown. And a ceremonial ribbon-cutting was held recently to mark the end of one phase of the work.
Wielding a giant pair of scissors instead of a gavel, Chief Superior Court Judge Jason Deal helped.
“…that makes (two) public elevators and (one) parking deck elevator officially upgraded, with (two) more public elevators to go!,” reads a county Facebook post.
“Special thanks to our amazing Hall County Central Services and Courts System staff and the honorable Judge Deal and Judge Burton for helping us lift spirits (and people) to new heights by celebrating with a ceremonial ribbon cutting!”
