School year almost history

The school year is quickly drawing to a close for the schools in Gainesville and Hall County and for two county schools, the doors will close for the last time.

Wednesday is the final day of classes for the Gainesville City School System while Friday is the final day for county students. That’s also when two of the oldest schools in the county system will close for the final time – McEver Elementary and Oakwood Elementary. The two are being consolidated into the new Everwood Elementary School which will open when a new school year begins in the fall.
