S. Hall man charged with attacking 8-, 9-year-olds causing cuts, bruises

HALL CO. SHERIFF’S OFFICE (HCSO) NARRATIVE:

“Vinson S. Pierre, 20, of Flowery Branch, remains in the Hall County Jail following his arrest this week on child cruelty charges.

Hall County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) deputies responded to Northeast Georgia Medical Center’s Braselton Campus on Monday evening, April 14, 2025, to investigate a possible child abuse case. When deputies arrived, an Oakwood Police Department officer had detained Mr. Pierre, who had transported an injured boy to the emergency room for treatment. The Oakwood PD officer had determined the criminal activity had occurred at a residence on Green Oak Ridge, a location in the county.

At the hospital, deputies made contact with the nine-year-old victim. He had suffered a cut to his head, which required stitches. During the course of the investigation, deputies determined a second victim, an eight-year-old boy, was also involved in the incident at the residence. Deputies traveled to the residence and found the second victim with suspicious marks on his legs. Deputies determined Mr. Pierre had inflicted injuries on both boys during an argument earlier in the day. Mr. Pierre hit the nine-year-old with a phone charger cable and pushed him into a couch, causing the boy to hit his head; he also pushed the eight-year-old boy down the stairs of the residence and hit the boy on the legs with an unknown object.

As a result, Mr. Pierre was transported to the jail on charges of felony child cruelty in the first degree and misdemeanor battery under the Family Violence Act (two counts each).

The suspect is being held without bond at this time.”
