Ruling against Zac Brown in suit against his estranged wife

The estranged wife of Grammy-winning country singer Zac Brown, whose northeast Georgia roots run deep, will be allowed to keep up social media posts about their relationship.

Brown was looking for a temporary restraining order which claimed Kelly Yazdi’s posts were defamatory and broke a confidentiality agreement.

Bur a Fulton County judge recently rejected that attempt while agreeing to consider a future hearing to discuss posts moving forward. The couple had been married four months before announcing plans to divorce last December.

Brown’s biography says he was raised on Lake Lanier. His other area connections include schooling at Gainesville’s Lakeview Academy, Mashburn Elementary School in Cumming, South Forsyth High School in Cumming, and Lumpkin County High School, where he graduated.

In 2002, he founded the Zac Brown Band.
