A 65-year-old man says he was robbed at gunpoint on Dorsey Street early Wednesday. But he says he knew the robber. Well, maybe not very well, according to police.
“Officer was on foot patrol of the Dorsey Street area,” Gainesville Police spokesman Kevin Holbrook said in an email Thursday. “The victim stated he borrowed $30.00 from an unknown black male, the black male allegedly pulled a gun on him demanding that he pay him the money back that he owed him.”
Holbrook added there were no injuries.
