Riverside President announces plans to retire

Riverside Preparatory Academy President Stanley C. “Staś” Preczewski announced Monday that he plans to retire June 30. A retired college president and retired U.S. Army colonel, Preczewski has served as president of Riverside since 2019.

Preczewski was selected as president in October 2018. His proven success as an executive administrator with strong business strategic planning and budgetary experience, outstanding academic credentials and fundraising acumen, blended with a strong work ethic and history of good judgment, made him the ideal leader for Riverside, according to a Riverside news release.

Prior to becoming Riverside’s President, Preczewski served as president of Georgia Gwinnett College. He also served in academic leadership roles at the military academy at West Point for more than 11 years.

In retirement, he will retain an office on Riverside’s campus as President-Emeritus and continue as a permanent ambassador of the Academy as directed by the school’s new president.
