*Hall County’s annual Prayer on the Square was held Thursday in downtown Gainesville. It began at noon and was a part of the National Day of Prayer. Those in attendance annually pray for a number of entities – such as government, education, the media, family, business, and the military. Prayer on the Square was preceded by a prayer breakfast at the civic center.

*The United Way of Hall County Advocate Award was presented recently to Christy Moore for what the organization calls “her unwavering commitment to making sure every voice in Hall County is heard.” As the Chair of One Hall United Against Poverty, Moore has helped “lead critical conversations around mental health, housing, equity, and opportunity,” a United Way Facebook post says.
