OAKWOOD POLICE DEPARTMENT (OPD) NARRATIVE:
“(Wednesday night) at approximately (9:30), Officers observed a Grey Dodge Charger, and another vehicle stopped at the red light located on Mundy Mill Road at the intersection Millside Parkway. When the traffic light turned green, officers observed both vehicles accelerate at a high rate of speed and appeared to be racing each other towards Old Oakwood Rd.
Officers initiated a traffic stop on both vehicles and were able to get the Grey Dodge Charger stopped near Old Oakwood Road.
The driver was identified as being Christopher Flores(18), a resident of Oakwood Georgia.
The second vehicle fled the traffic stop and was not identified.”
Flores is charged with racing on highways or streets.
