North and central Georgia remain at risk for severe weather this evening into the early overnight hours, as a “complex” of storms may move into the area from Tennessee and Alabama. Hall County is right on the line between the Level 1 and Level 2 areas which defines the severity of the expected weather, with Level 1 the least severe.
“The primary hazard with these storms would be damaging wind gusts but hail up to quarter size is also possible.,” the National Weather Service (NWS) says.
“Another round of strong to severe storms are anticipated on Saturday afternoon and evening, with the threat covering all of north and central Georgia. Primary hazards with these storms would be damaging wind gusts and quarter size hail, though a brief tornado is possible…”
