The Atlanta Braves, Gas South, and The Boys & Girls Clubs of Lanier unveiled a new playground at the Tim Lee Boys & Girls Club with a special ribbon-cutting ceremony Monday.
Made possible through support by the Atlanta Braves Foundation and Gas South, this upgraded playground will provide kids at the Tim Lee Boys & Girls Club with a “modern, safe, and enriching environment perfect for play while also encouraging physical, social, and cognitive development,” a news release says.
Dozens of people, including Braves mascot BLOOPER, were present.
“Children learn a lot through play, which contributes greatly to academic success,” said Stephany Small, Habersham County Area Director of The Boys & Girls Clubs of Lanier. “Having this new and safe space, with updated playground equipment for our children has been a huge priority for us.”
