Six of the Georgia’s ten fastest-growing cities and towns are in our corner of the state, according to the latest Census Bureau estimates, which cover 2023-2024.
They are Hoschton (24.7 percent increase), Talking Rock (16.8%), East Ellijay (15.4%), Braselton (11.4%), Sugar Hill (9.5%), and Ball Ground (9.2%).
In raw numbers, the most populous of the six is Sugar Hill, where 28,598 souls reside. The smallest is Talking Rock, with a population of 111.
