A Gainesville man suffered serious injuries Wednesday night when his motorcycle and a van collided on Thompson Bridge Road in Murrayville.
HALL CO. SHERIFF’S OFFICE (HCSO) NARRATIVE:
“The crash, which occurred at the intersection of Thompson Bridge Road and Hubert Stephens Road in front of the Fieldale plant, was reported just before 10:15 p.m. Hall County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) patrol deputies and the Accident Investigation Unit (AIU) responded to the scene.
The initial investigation determined a motorcycle, being driven by Steven Duane Bell, 42, of Gainesville, was traveling southbound on Thompson Bridge Road. As Bell approached the northernmost entrance of the Fieldale plant, a van, being driven by Lilo M. Adana, 38, Clarkston, was attempting a left turn to travel north on Thompson Bridge Road. Bell was unable to stop and crashed into the van. He was ejected from the motorcycle, suffering serious injuries. He was transported to the hospital for treatment. Adana was not injured.
AIU investigators continue their investigation into the crash.”
