UPDATE: Motorcyclist seriously injured in Clarks Bridge Rd. crash

A Gainesville man suffered serious injuries Sunday night when a pickup struck his motorcycle at the intersection of Clarks Bridge Road and Lula Road.

HALL CO. SHERIFF’S OFFICE (HCSO) NARRATIVE:

“According to the preliminary investigation by the Hall County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) Accident Investigation Unit (AIU), Dustin Rodney Turner, 39, had entered the intersection traveling northbound on Clarks Bridge Road. Candy Marie Wright, 59, of Dahlonega, the driver of the truck, was traveling eastbound on Lula Road and failed to stop at the stop sign, striking Mr. Turner’s motorcycle.

Ms. Wright remained at the scene following the collision. She and her passenger were not injured.

As a result of the crash, Mr. Turner suffered serious injuries, including a fracture to his left ankle area, and he was transported to Northeast Georgia Medical Center Gainesville for treatment.

Charges are pending in the case.

The collision was reported just before 10:30 p.m. The intersection of Clarks Bridge Road and Lula Road was closed for approximately and hour and a half during the incident investigation.”
