The teenage girl from Habersham County authorities have been concerned about has been found and is okay.
“Alexia Peppers, 16, of Turnerville was located with the help of other law enforcement agencies in the Atlanta area and is safe,” county spokesman Rob Moore said Thursday. “She has been reunited with her family.”
But Moore said at this time he couldn’t release anything else about the end of the search.
“Due to the ongoing investigation, we are not able to release specifics of the case at this time.”
Just Wednesday authorities had released a picture that shows Pepper with 20-year-old Derrick Jayden Wing (aka Austin Hood or Austin Houde) together in the Atlanta area.
They feared for her safety once they learned last week that she was or might be in the company of Wing, whom they considered “potentially armed and dangerous.”
Pepper had been missing since last Thursday night.
