Midland MusicFest returning; Memorial Day Parade is Monday; Lula observance and Memorial Park vigil, too

*Gainesville’s Midland MusicFest is returning this weekend. It’ll take place Saturday, rain or shine, at the new amphitheater on the Midland Greenway. More information, including the lineup of scheduled performers and ticket information, can be found here: Midland Music Fest

*Gainesville’s 21st annual Memorial Day Parade, sponsored by American Legion Pos #7, steps off at 10:00 Monday morning. The starting point, as always, is at the Cleveland Highway/Thompson Bridge Road split at the Civic Center. The procession will move south on Green Street toward downtown. Streets in that area will close at 8:30.

*Monday will be a busy day for the Hall County Sheriff’s Office Honor Guard. First, it will participate in the Memorial Day observance in Lula. That’s at 10:00. Then, it will move to Memorial Park South Cemetery’s veterans section. There it will conduct it’s annual Memorial Day vigil from noon to 7:00 p.m.
