McDonald’s offering grants to N. Ga. teachers

McDonald’s is offering grants of up to $20,000 to K-12 teachers in North Georgia through its Golden Grants program.

Grants are available for each area in the amounts of:

  • $20,000
  • $10,000
  • $1,000

Qualifying activities include the following, as long as need is demonstrated:

  • Arts activities
  • Education initiatives
  • Mentorship and empowerment programs
  • After-school programs
  • Community service
  • Sports activities
  • Technology

To apply, eligible entities can visit McDonald’s Golden Grants through October 13.

McDonald’s Owner/Operators across north Georgia will be selecting deserving educators, non-profit organizations, and the like, who represent programs that “fuel the imagination, education, and growth of students, as recipients of a McDonald’s Golden Grant.” Entering its fourth year, the program has awarded $300,000 in its first three years.
