Man investigators say traveled to S. Hall for sex with a minor arrested

Hall County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) and Georgia Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force investigators arrested an Atlanta man Monday morning on numerous criminal counts related to sexual
exploitation of a minor.

Investigators took Ali Rezaie Shahmirzadi, 48, into custody on Monday morning, April 21, when he arrived at a location in the 3000 block of Mundy Mill Road. He had traveled to Hall County to have sex with an
individual he thought was a female juvenile under the age of 16.

According to the initial investigation, Shahmirzadi had been having sexually explicit conversations with the individual on social media since Feb. 20. He described sex acts he wanted to perform on the minor and sent pornographic images and videos.

Investigators obtained arrest warrants charging Shahmirzadi with 15 counts of sexual exploitation of a minor and one count of grooming a child for indecent purposes. All the charges are felonies.

Deputies took Shahmirzadi to the Hall County Jail where he remained held without bond on Tuesday
morning, April 22.
