A 60-year-old Gainesville man who has been in the Hall County Jail since mid-April on child sex charges is now facing a dozen more such charges.
Rafael Garrido was originally arrested on a vehicle homicide charge but was then arrested on the original child sex charges after an analysis of data on his phone which was seized following the traffic accident.

” Yesterday, he was served at the jail with the additional 12 counts of sexual exploitation,” sheriff’s office spokesman Derreck Booth said Friday morning. “Investigators filed the additional charges based on forensic processing of Garrido’s phone. There’s no indication the victims are local.”
He is being held without bond.
