Lockdown at Lyman Hall ES

There was a lockdown at Lyman Hall Elementary School about noon Monday. However, it did was because of police activity nearby and not anything related to the school.

A notice was sent to parents by school officials describing the action as “an exterior lockdown at the request of law enforcement” due to an unrelated incident within a mile of the school.

The notice went on to say that all students were safe and that classes were continuing on schedule but all classes that were outdoors were moved inside and no one was being allowed outside. It wasn’t long before the “all clear” was sounded and the lockdown lifted.

Pictures and security video posted on social media said to show police activity in the area showed numerous officers and law enforcement vehicles.
