Within a few days most schools will have shut down for the summer and the unofficial start of the season – Memorial Day weekend – will be here. And that means plenty of water-based activities for thousands in Geogia and especially in our area given the proximity of Lake Lanier.
To that end, the Lake Lanier Association (LLA) is out with as few tips encouraging water safety this summer and at all times.
Covered are such things as boating safety, rules of the “road” including navigation and markers, the importance of life jackets and how to donate to the lake’s life jacket loaner stations, the availability of boater safety courses, and more.
