Lake Lanier seemed unusually quiet over the holiday weekend at least when it comes to violations reported to the state Department of Natural Resources (DNR).
Spokesman Mark McKinnon said Tuesday only two BUI cases were made during the period.
In the Gainesville region, which includes a number of other waterways in northeast Georgia, there were four BUI arrests, two boating “incidents,” and one injury.
Statewide, the numbers were 29, seven, and four, respectively.
