JEMC: All power restored following overnight outages

Jackson EMC said shortly before 2:00 Friday afternoon that all power had been restored to all its customers who lost power during the Thursday night storms.

“…We have some current outages mostly related to planned maintenance and a few individual outages that our crews are checking,” spokeswoman Kerri Testement said.  “We had about 5,700 members affected by outages from last night’s storms. Most of the outages were caused by tree limbs on lines and wind with some affected by lightning.”

About daybreak Friday, the Hall County Sheriff’s Office reported that eight roads in the county were blocked by downed trees and/or powerlines but by 2:00 Friday afternoon that number had been reduced to two.
