A public hearing will be held Thursday by the Forsyth County Commission (FCC) on an amendment to the county’s Impact Fee Ordinance which would assess road impact fees for future developments in the county. The board is also expected to vote on plans for new residential single-family housing developments totaling almost 100 homes.
“…commercial, office, medical, industrial, warehouse, manufacturing, institutional, and

It would also “authorize payment of such fees within 18 months of build permit issuance or receipt of a certificate of occupancy (and) authorize certain penalties and remedies for non-payment of impact fees.”
The single-family homes would be located in the southern and northern parts of the county on 72 acres now zone for agricultural purposes. The number of new houses would total 92.
