How the old Riverbend ES site will be used

The Hall County Board of Education Monday night decided on the fate of the Riverbend Elementary School site.

“We will move the school nutrition department from the Central Office on Green Street to Riverbend. Elementary,” county school spokesman Stan Lewis confirmed Tuesday morning. “The cafeteria at Riverbend will be utilized in the district’s food science pathway, which will teach students food processing, using protein from our Agribusiness center and local farms.”

The school closed for good last May as was White Sulphur Elementary. The two school districts were merged into the new Sandra Dunagan Deal Elementary School.
