*The Crisleys are being pardoned by President Trump and the reactions are mixed. President Trump called Todd and Julie Crisley’s daughter Savannah to give her the news Wednesday. The reality TV couple was convicted in a federal court in 2022 of defrauding Atlanta banks of tens of millions of dollars. USA Today reports the Chrisleys’ attorney, Alex Little believes the couple was targeted for their conservative views and says the, “…prosecution was tainted by multiple constitutional violations and political bias.” The Independent reports attorney Amee Vanderpool made a personal attack by posting on X, “I shudder to think about what Savannah Chrisley had to do to secure those pardons for her parents.”

*Numerous flights at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport are facing delays and cancellations. Fifty-seven flights were delayed, and six were canceled on Wednesday. Atlanta News First reports these disruptions follow severe weather on Tuesday, which included heavy rain and tornado warnings in some areas, leading to a “ground stop” at one point.

*The young woman from Dalton who ended up in immigration custody after a false traffic stop is speaking out about the incident. Ximena Arias-Cristobal says she forgives the officer involved in her arrest, even though she says he acted unprofessionally and should not have pressured her. Arias-Cristobal had charges against her dropped when Dalton police learned the officer had pulled over the wrong vehicle, but she was detained for numerous days by ICE because she is an undocumented immigrant. Her attorneys say Arias-Cristobal’s detention was ridiculous and that she and her father are now on the path to citizenship despite facing possible deportation.
