A Gainesville, charged with elder exploitation, remained jailed Tuesday morning on bonds totaling almost $11,000 after he allegedly attacked his landlord and a friend of hers.
HALL CO. SHERIFF’S OFFICE (HCSO) NARRATIVE:
“Deputies met with victims (one 71-years-old, the other 68) at a safe location following the (Thursday) incident at a residence in the 6100 block of Bristol Way, Flowery Branch. The Bristol Way home belongs to one of the women.
According to the initial investigation, the victims went to the house to retrieve personal items that belong to one of them. They encountered Bradford James Bracewell, 34, who lives in the house. Bracewell verbally accosted the women, using profanity. He then grabbed one of them by her arms, pinned her against the wall and shoved her to the side. Similarly, he grabbed the other woman by her arms and pinned her against the wall, causing bruising to one of her arms. The victims then left.
Deputies obtained arrest warrants for Bracewell on the following charges:
- Two counts of exploitation of an elder person (felony)
- Battery under the Family Violence Act (misdemeanor)
- Simple assault (misdemeanor)
On Friday afternoon…HCSO Warrant Service Unit deputies went to the residence to serve the warrants from the previous day. Deputies knocked on the door and identified Braswell as he looked out of a window. From outside, deputies told him multiple times that he was under arrest and to come out of the house. He refused commands. Deputies entered the house through the front door and arrested Bracewell without incident. They charged him with obstruction of an officer (misdemeanor).
He remains in the Hall County Jail on $10,900 bond.”
