HCSO: Driver involved in serious injury crash free on bond

The driver of a car that wrecked Friday afternoon in Hall County if free on bond. The crash left two people with serious injuries, according to the state patrol.

STATE PATROL NARRATIVE:

“On (Friday) at 4:36pm, Troopers responded to a serious injury crash on SR 13 in Hall County. 

A tan Mercury Mountaineer was traveling south on SR 13 in the left lane, a black Infiniti was traveling south on SR 13 behind the Mercury Mountaineer, and a white BMW was traveling south on SR 13 in the right lane.  The driver of the Infiniti was following too closely at a high rate of speed and struck the Mercury in the rear with its front. 

After initial impact, the Infiniti struck the BMW in the left side.  The Mercury lost control and overturned multiple times coming to final rest in the northbound lanes of SR 13.  The driver and passenger in the Mercury were transported to the Northeast Georgia Medical Center for serious injuries.”

A spokesman for the Hall County Sheriff’s Office said the driver, Alejandro Torrecillas-Reyes, was freed on $12,500 bond Sunday. He’s charged with:

RECKLESS DRIVING 1ST OFFENSE

LICENSE – DRIVING WHILE UNLICENSED OR EXPIRED
