“UPDATE – Hall County Sheriff’s deputies have opened Old Flowery Branch Road/Mountain View Road. Earlier, deputies were attempting to serve an arrest warrant for an offender in the area and closed the road as a precaution. The suspect was not at his residence. Thank you for your patience.
ORIGINAL POST – Please be aware of a heavy law enforcement presence near Old Flowery Branch Road/Mountain View Road. The roadway is closed. We have no details to release at this time, but we will update you as soon as possible.”
By 10:00 Friday night, the incident had generated scores of social media postings, 110 on Facebook alone.
Further information is not likely to be released until Monday morning when HCSO administrative offices reopen following the weekend.
