Superintendent Will Schofield plans to recommend Dr. Jason Carter as the next Director of Secondary Education for the Hall County School District (HCSD).
Carter will take the place of Suzanne Jarrard, who was recently named Assistant Superintendent for Teaching and Learning. The recommendation will be made at Monday’s school board meeting.

Carter brings nearly three decades of educational experience to his new position.
He began his career in education 28 years ago and has served in multiple leadership roles across the state. His administrative journey began as a curriculum assistant principal at Southeast Whitfield High School.
He joined Hall County Schools in 2009 as an assistant principal at Johnson High School before becoming the second principal of Flowery Branch High School in 2013.”
