Hall County recorded an unemployment rate of 2.4% in April, down six-tenths over the month. A year ago, the rate was 2.3%.
The labor force decreased by 350 and ended the month at 109,019. That number increased by 277 from April 2024.
Gainesville finished the month with 106,397 employed residents. That number increased by 354 from the previous month and by 137 from the same time a year ago.
In addition, April ended with 108,600 jobs, up by 500 from the previous month and by 1,300 from the same time last year.
The 12-county Georgia Mountains region, which includes Hall County and most of northeast Georgia, the jobless rate was down seven-tenths to 2.6% over the month; the rate was 2.5% one year ago
